Rake Mate World Tour Photo Contest – Official Terms & Conditions

1. Sponsor & Administrator

The Rake Mate World Tour Photo Contest (“Contest”) is sponsored and administered by Rake Mate, LLC (“Sponsor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

All decisions made by the Sponsor regarding the Contest are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.

2. Eligibility

To enter, you must meet all eligibility requirements below:

2.1 Age Requirements

Entrants must be:

  • At least 18 years old, or
  • The age of majority in their state, province, or country of residence, whichever is higher.

2.2 Residency

The Contest is open to legal residents of:

  • The United States
  • Canada (excluding Quebec, if applicable)
  • Any additional countries listed on the official contest pageSome regions may be excluded due to local laws, prize fulfillment limitations, or travel restrictions.

2.3 Purchase Requirement

To enter, you must have:

  • Previously purchased a Rake Mate product,
  • Or purchased one during the Contest submission window.

You must supply a valid order number to verify your purchase.

2.4 Entry Limit

  • One (1) entry per Rake Mate order number is allowed.
  • If multiple entries use the same order number, only the first valid entry will be accepted.

2.5 Additional Eligibility Notes

You may not enter if:

  • You are an employee, contractor, or immediate family member of Rake Mate, LLC.
  • You are affiliated with any agencies or companies involved in the administration, judging, or promotion of this Contest.

3. Contest Period

The Contest follows the timeline below (subject to adjustment with notice):

  • Contest Launch: March 1
  • Submission Window: March 1 – April 30
  • Public Voting Window: May 1 – May 15
  • Winner Announcement: May 20

All times listed refer to Eastern Time (ET). Late submissions will not be accepted.

4. How to Enter

To participate, you must complete all of the following:

4.1 Entry Form

Submit your entry using the Contest Entry Form on the official Rake Mate website. You must provide:

  • Full name
  • Valid email address
  • Rake Mate order number
  • Date of purchase
  • City & country of residence
  • A caption describing your photo
  • Your photo submission (see requirements below)

4.2 Photo Requirements

Your uploaded photo must:

  • Clearly show a Rake Mate product being used by the entrant
  • Be taken outdoors
  • Be high-resolution (minimum 1500px recommended)
  • Depict an interesting or unique environment
    • Travel locations, iconic landmarks, scenic landscapes
    • Or “world-inspired” local environments (yard setups, themed scenes)

4.3 Social Media Component (Optional)

Entrants may share their entry photo on social media using:

  • The hashtag #RakeMateWorldTour
  • Tagging the official Rake Mate account

This does not affect eligibility but may increase exposure.

5. Submission Rules

By entering the Contest, you agree to the following submission rules:

5.1 Your Photo Must Be Original

You must:

  • Be the photographer OR have full rights to the photo
  • Appear in the photo OR have the right to feature any individuals shown
  • Submit only original, non-AI-generated, non-stock images

5.2 Prohibited Content

Submissions may not contain:

  • Copyrighted materials you do not own
  • Graphic, violent, offensive, or unsafe content
  • Illegal or dangerous activities
  • Misuse of Rake Mate productsEntries violating these rules will be disqualified.

6. Public Voting

After submissions close:

6.1 Voting Process

  • All eligible photos are displayed in a public gallery
  • Visitors can vote once per email/IP address
  • Sponsor may use third-party tools to detect fraudulent activity

6.2 Fair Voting Policy

Sponsor reserves the right to:

  • Void any votes suspected of being automated, fraudulent, or manipulated
  • Block abusive IP addresses
  • Disqualify entries that show irregular or dishonest voting patterns

7. Winner Selection

7.1 Public Vote Winner (Grand Prize Eligibility)

The entry with the highest number of valid votes at the close of the Voting Window will be named the Grand Prize Winner, subject to verification.

7.2 Optional “Editor’s Pick”

Sponsor may award an additional non-vote-based recognition based on:

  • Creativity
  • Storytelling
  • Environment/location
  • OriginalityThis selection does not impact the Grand Prize.

7.3 Verification

Before confirming winners, Sponsor may:

  • Request proof of purchase
  • Request identity and residency verification
  • Confirm that the submitted photo meets all rules

Failure to comply may result in disqualification.

8. Prizes

8.1 Grand Prize

The Grand Prize typically includes:

  • A multi-destination travel voucher or similar “Trip Around the World” experience
  • Prize value, eligible destinations, travel windows, and details are listed in the Official Rules or prize documentation

Travel prize may include:

  • Transportation
  • Lodging
  • Excursions or experiences (if applicable)
  • Administrative fees (if applicable)

8.2 Runner-Up Prizes

Runner-up prizes may include:

  • Gift cards
  • Rake Mate product bundles
  • Travel accessories
  • A free Rake Mate for next season

Exact items vary by contest year.

8.3 Prize Conditions

Prizes:

  • Are non-transferable
  • Cannot be exchanged for cash (unless required by law)
  • Must be redeemed by the deadlines set by the Sponsor or travel partner
  • Are subject to travel restrictions, blackout dates, and partner terms

Sponsor is not responsible for:

  • Travel delays, cancellations, or personal expenses
  • Visa applications, passports, vaccinations, or travel documents

9. Rights Granted by Entrants

9.1 License to Use Content

By entering, you grant Sponsor a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to:

  • Use
  • Reproduce
  • Publish
  • Display
  • Adapt
  • Distribute

your submitted photo and caption for:

  • Social media
  • Website galleries
  • Advertising
  • Promotional campaigns
  • Brand marketing
  • Future contests or materials

9.2 Attribution

Whenever feasible, Sponsor will credit the entrant when their photo is used.

10. Privacy & Personal Data

Your data will be used only for:

  • Contest administration
  • Contest communication
  • Prize fulfillment
  • Legal compliance

Sponsor will never sell or transfer your information to unrelated third parties.

11. General Conditions

11.1 Modification or Cancellation

Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Contest if:

  • Technical failures occur
  • Fraud or abuse is detected
  • Natural disasters or extraordinary events make continuation impossible

11.2 Liability Limitation

Sponsor is not responsible for:

  • Late, lost, corrupted, or misdirected entries
  • Technical issues with uploads or voting
  • Internet outages
  • Travel, lodging, or personal expenses beyond the prize value

11.3 Entrant Agreement

By participating, you agree to:

  • Be bound by these Terms & Conditions
  • Follow all instructions provided on the Contest page
  • Accept Sponsor’s final decisions as binding

12. Governing Law

This Contest is governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any disputes must be resolved exclusively in the courts located in that state.
